Clayton Barr is the NSW State Member for the Electorate of Cessnock. A local you can count on. Always fighting to have local priorities delivered by the State Government.
Biography
I was born and raised in Cessnock, where I live with my wife Lisa and our four children.
I studied to become a teacher at Newcastle University and I then taught at Mount View High School for 9 years. After teaching, I worked for the local children’s cancer charity CanTeen. Prior to my election as State Member, I worked as the Community and Recreational Facilities Planner at Port Stephens Council.
I will continue to fight for better services for the Electorate of Cessnock and as a father; I understand the issues facing working families. I will fight to make sure we have the best schools with more teachers and more funding for local hospitals to deliver the best health care for our community.
