Calling All Volunteers!!

Latest News

I am very proud of the contribution that volunteers make to all aspects of community life.   Volunteers are the life blood of local communities and are often unrecognised for their commitment.  There’s hardly an area of life which is not helped by volunteering and many valuable local projects and programs would not exist without the support of volunteers.

The NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards are the state-wide Awards for volunteers in NSW.  Now in its eighth year, the 2014 NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards are organised by the Centre for Volunteering, the peak body for volunteering in NSW and are proudly supported by Clubs NSW and the NSW Government’s Office of Communities.

The NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards program is run at regional and state levels, with 19 regions across NSW.  Regional awards are presented at ceremonies across NSW from mid-September to mid-October, culminating in the State Awards ceremony held on Friday 5 December to coincide with International Volunteers Day.
