Tourism operators in the Cessnock Electorate are encouraged to apply for a share in $7.2 million in grant funding from the State Government’s Regional Visitor Economy Fund.

The Regional Visitor Economy Fund, which is administered by Destination NSW, provides investment into the regional visitor economy on a matched dollar-for-dollar basis.

State Member for the Electorate of Cessnock, Clayton Barr said the funding could help the area’s tourism operators to further develop local products and services to domestic and international visitors.

“Tourism is of great importance to our local area and I would encourage tourism operators in the Cessnock Electorate to apply for grant funding”, Mr Barr concluded.

Visit the Destination NSW website at www.destinationnsw.com.au/rvef for more information, or to submit an application, using the online form.

Applications for the grant funding close at 5pm on Monday November 30, 2015.
